If your boat is equipped with a GPS, it is wise to enter your departure point as a waypoint. There are a few landmarks of note on both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. In case of a sudden storm other safe haven way points listed above could be utilized. Waypoints are made approximately 100 yards off shore. You can pick up a copy of Niagara Canada , World class fresh water fishing, Check the tourism point.. Please take caution these are general refference points. Please dont use these as your sole navigation.
